2011 was a bit of a topsy turby year in which alot of mundane distractions lured me away from pretty much everything creative. Largely it all worked out but it did mean I remained silent for quite awhile and there is a lot of work that is either half started or half finished..

While that thread of distraction has transferred into 2012, albeit in a more manageable guise, it all works towards research towards a cinemative concept.

In the meantime though I have already started sorting through some collected footage... there are some animation bits and pieces that are just waiting to be polished off an uploaded. Again, overdue and probably irrelevant now but I need to get them out of the way just for my piece of mind.

I have finally placed one foot firmly on the other side of the tech fence, something I have been noodling about for way too long but reluctantly held off from doing. Which side of the fence???... LINUX.

I spent enough time away from computers in the last year to finally be reminded about the realities of the universe... that life isn't worth wasting dealing with the incompetence of poorly implemented and generally bloated systems when there is a better alternative out there. That also means I'm finally going to start poking around in Blender territory.... BUT having said that, I have the artist's equivalent of blood lust at the moment; I have to get my hands dirty, my finger tips want to soak in INK.

Oh yeah, and all the websites under my care (or confessedly 'lack of' in the past year) need some overhauling. From some streamlining and reorganising of the Love Cult to completely rebuilding (from a code point of view) the shop based ones. One thing I can't stands is obselescence!!!
